Programming Distributed Systems with YAMI4

1.6 Thank You

This book would not exist without support and motivation from several important people.

First of all, I would like to thank my wife, Marta, for her patience and understanding during my work on this project.

Special thanks should go to Seweryn Habdank-Wojewódzki, who has helped me significantly improve the preliminary version of this text and the YAMI4 library itself by contributing his criticism and suggestions.

I would also like to thank Marek Misiowiec, who was one of the first user of the YAMI4 library in the context of a massively distributed diagnostic and alarm system at CERN and who has contributed suggestions for API improvements and who has provided valuable criticism for the preliminary version of the YAMI4 documentation.

With the 1.3.0 release, Paweł Kierski did an excellent job of porting the YAMI4 library to .NET, which significantly increased the range of options for heterogeneous and multi-language distributed systems. Paweł ensured that the coverage of C# in this text is correct and reflects the actual implementation.

I should be blamed for the remaining errors and imperfections.
